Sunday morning was quite traumatic for me. I got a new litter box (The Booda Dome is great -- thanks for telling me about it Rufus!) so my old one was cleaned out and sitting by the stairs waiting to be taken out to the Dumpster. I was running around the apartment in full force. I was especially hyper and moving at top speed. I spied the litter box and decided to jump into it. I took a running leap...and then it started to move. Not just a little. No, the whole thing tipped down and before I knew what was happening I was sledding down the stairs in my litter box. I was scared and kept trying to get my legs under me so I could jump out. I managed to get out of the litter box right before it crash landed against the door. I flew back up the stairs and under the couch. Frank, who had seen the entire thing, could barely stop laughing long enough to tell Jen what happened. It was awful. I thought it was cool when Goldie went sledding, but that didn't mean I wanted to try it. There are no pictures of the ordeal, but I will leave you today with a picture of the stairs. It's enough to give you nightmares!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MEOW

Hahahahaha! I bet that was traumatic - but a bit of fun too! Good one, Tuck!

Oh crikey, very traumatic. Just you tae care those stairs look lethal.
ReplyDeleteHugs GJ xxx
Oh my goodness, looks scary to me, but Ash says he is jealous. Glad you're ok.
ReplyDeletePinky
Aw, Tuck - I bet that really was scary (but maybe a little bit funny for anyone who was watching!) Those stairs look steep! Poor guy - hope you've recovered.
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly! What a ride you had! Maybe litterbox sledding can become a new Olympic sport.
ReplyDeleteWheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Tuck! Extreme sports it is!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Tom and Tama-Chan
Tuck...we wish we coulda seen this one! We know it was scary for you...but it hadta be funny to see!
ReplyDeleteWhile I realize that must have been scary, we're with The Island Cats on this one: We wanted to see it! I can only imagine the look on your face as you skidded down those stairs. We're glad you're ok, Tuck!
ReplyDeleteNo pictures needed Tuck, we can imagine how traumatic the whole experience was for you!
ReplyDeleteOh my! How awful! We are so glad you are OK after that traumatic experience. You deserve treats and lots of them!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! *covers eyes with paws* *hears a sound and glares at Mommy for laughing*
ReplyDeleteI bet that was scary (although it sounded rather funny)!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should enter the Kitty Olympics!
ReplyDeleteOh no that sounds scary. That must be very traumatic...but the kids say they´ll have fun with stair sledding...
ReplyDeleteHoly **** Tuck, that must have scared the poop out of you ... pardon the pun, hee hee! We would hid after that too, and we are glad you got out before your "sled" hit the basement door ... whew! We didn't laugh one bit, and whapped Momma when she did!
ReplyDeletePurrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simonm
The boys say that it looks like fun, but I would have been scared, too, Tuck. Then again, I'm a bit scared of a lot of things. Mom calls me her 'Fraidy Cat.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Rosie
It was supposed to have been a PSA post! I am so glad you got off of that safely. What a ride!!! I know sliding sounds like fun but IT IS NOT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFour paws on the floor, friend!
Purrs, Goldie
Hahahaha! We wish we could have seen that. It's a good job you got out in time or there could have been a kitty shape hole in the door.
ReplyDeleteWe are all laughing so hard...sorry for doing that, but that must have been funny!!! Ok, it's only funny now because you are ok. We wish there had been a video to memorialize the whole thing...
ReplyDeleteOh my cats! That's funny, but scary at the same time, you could have gotten hurt which is the scary part, but you didn't and the story is pretty funny. You'll think so in a little while, maybe not right now but give it time and I bet you'll be sitting around giggling to yourself for no apparent reason in a few days when you think about it. I heard that my Mum did that the other day after I fell out of the chair.
ReplyDeleteWillie
I bet you did hide behind the couch for a while! That musta been frightening, and we are glad you had a sled to protect you in a way...
ReplyDeletePoor Tuck - humans are cruel Mommy is giggling.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is still laughing. You must forgive her!
ReplyDeleteOh, Tuck! That's my worst fear with my cats! They walk up the stairs then run down them as fast as they cat because they like to go sliding across the wood floor.
ReplyDeleteThen this spring Cocoa got ahold of the Boot Butler, which is this plastic tray for holding wet snowboots, before I had a chance to put it away for the spring... Well, Tuck, you can imagine what happened!
Tuck, you are always getting into trouble! Be careful! I hope this episode won't turn you sour on litter boxes. Maybe it is a good thing you got the Booda Dome. You might be too scared to step into that old one after it took you for a ride!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure glad you're okay.
P.S. Hooray! When I couldn't post the above comment, I got very frustrated, so I did some research and found out about a setting I needed to change in my Firefox Browser. Yea! I can now post on my buddy Tuck's blog (and all the others that have embedded comment forms!)
Oh my Cod, Tuck! That stairway looks skeery! We're glad you're OK!
ReplyDeleteHello Tuck! I'm Noir. And you're gray, just like my Brother Earl Gray. I think I want to have one those new boxes like you! My human, Tommy says we all need to get a job first--and be careful!

Haha, Tuck! How are you liking your new Booda Dome??
ReplyDeleteThat must have be a scary trip. Would you do it again! We think we would.
