Chillin' in My Hammock

I've seen a lot of kitties on the CB sleeping in these awesome hammocks. I kept asking Jen for one and she finally agreed and let me order one from super cool cats over at Forty Paws. The hammock arrived yesterday! It took Jen forever to get it together and I kept trying to climb up on it during the process. (Jen says that it only took a couple of minutes and that it was quite easy, but I think she could be exaggerating -- it seemed like a long time to me!)

So, I spent yesterday evening lounging in my new hammock. Not even the nip that was sprinkled on it kept me away! (For everycat who didn't know, I'm one of the strange kitties who doesn't like nip. Won't usually touch the stuff.) If you bigify the picture you will see there's actually a piece of it stuck to my head!

This picture is of Jen's nephew Ryan right before his 6th birthday party. Jen's mom and brother are in the background arranging the tables. This picture was taken last year -- before I was born! The little human is going to be 7 next week. He lives far away and keeps telling Jen that he wants to see me. Why wouldn't he? I'm a cute little mancat in training and everybody wants to meet me!

A Confession

I have a confession to make. I talk a lot about what a fierce mancat in training I am, but what I don't talk about is how much I love to cuddle. I even like to be held like a baby. Everyone says to me, "But Tuck, you were feral, how could you be such a lap cat?" I guess I'm just smart. When the humans trapped me and my brothers and sisters to take us to the V-E-T, I noticed that it was warm inside, there was plenty of food and that the humans wanted to pet us. My brothers and sisters hated it, but I thought it was kinda nice. So there you have it, despite all the running, jumping and playing I do, and all my tough talk, I'm really a mush. I hope I haven't ruined my reputation around the CB now...

My New Toy

I got a new toy yesterday. It's this soft, green furry thing that fits around a doorknob and has two toys that hang down from it. They clip on so that the humans are able to take them off and let me play with them when they want. As you can see, there is only one toy on the bottom of it now.



That's because it only took me about 30 seconds to pull off the toy I wanted. Jen hung it up and went to put something else away. When she walked back in the room this is what she saw.

Those kitty toy makers are not so smart after all!

Whatever Happened To Relaxing?

It's a dreary day here in Jersey and all I want to do is relax. I've found myself a nice comfy spot on a sweatshirt that was carelessly left on the couch. I was having a peaceful nap when suddenly the flashy box comes out. No reason to flash me -- all I was doing was napping. But she wakes me up anyway. This is my best "leave me alone or I will claw you later look." It must have worked because she went away. So much for a relaxing Sunday!

Tuck the Builder

The humans finally got me some new food and water bowls fitting of a mancat-in-training. These are the kind where you have to put together the holders for the bowls. Frank was trying to put it together, but I could tell he needed my help. First, I had to read the directions.

Then, I had to check out where the project stood.

Hey you Frank! I'm watching you!

Let me get comfortable so I can supervise this project

Out Like a Light

The humans had the day off yesterday and I spent the day running and playing. Now I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open. I usually sleep a lot during the day, but I was making the most of having company on a weekday. I think I'll just rest today so that I'm back to normal this evening...after all, the best time to play is at night when the humans are trying to sleep!

A Tail of the Chase

Every once in a while I spot my tail following me around. Sometimes it's cool; I'm flattered by it's attachment to me. But sometimes that tail is just annoying. What I really hate is when the tail goes to one side while I'm on the other.

When this happens I have to try to catch the tail and explain to him that this is unacceptable.

I almost always trap the tail and put a good bite on it. He never learns though. Silly tail...I don't think he is very smart!
