I Smell Pretty

Apparently there was a stench coming from me yesterday. Frank and Jen kept talking about how I smelled like my litter box, so before I knew what was coming I was getting another bath. This one was no better than the first. As if the water isn't bad enough that goo they rub on me is vile. They try to rinse it off but it makes my fur taste funny. And now I smell like baby powder. A fierce mancat in training should never smell like baby powder -- it's a tragedy.

  1. Oh noes, a bath is something horrible. Did you see the link to "animals that hate baths" on Parker's blog the other day? You could easily add your picture there!
Hope you ever got that fur in place again!

  2. Yuck - a bath! Mom is giving Teal'c one later today because he gets dandruff. He has no clue. Mwahhahahaha.

P.S. I agree; mancats should not smell like baby powder. Maybe you can roll around in something to get the stink off you.

  3. Poor Tuck! But smelling awful isn't great either so it probably had to be done...

  4. My human pet and I came to an understanding early on that there would be no baths for me. After a serious throw-down in the bathroom when I was seven or eight months old, she won't dare think of it again. Serves her right for trying to get me into the water.

You should definitely throw-down with your human pets as well, Tuck. Show them who's boss. Harness your inner Tony Danza.

  5. I know it sucks but you probably looked amazingly handsome once you dried off! Smelling like your litter box is not much fun for you or the humans...

Did you milk it for some treats?

  6. EWWWWWWW! You poor baby - I am sure your 'rents would have not done this to you unless you really, really needed it.
    But...EWWWW!

  8. Poor Tuck! It does sound like you needed a bath, though...

We don't do baths here, but Mom has to rub Franklin with a wet paper towel sometimes because he slacks off on cleaning himself. (The vet suggested this and it works pretty well unless there is a major problem.)

  14. Oh no, baby powder is not at all mancatly. Smelling like a litterbox isn't mancatly either. You will have to bargain with them. You won't smell like a litterbox and they mustn't make you smell like baby talc.

  15. The bath thing doesn't sound nice (we've never tried it). And smelling like baby powder... you should definitely rebel! But you look cute though ;-)

  19. Oh my Bast. The horror. I mean, that is just awful. Dood. I hope you shredded something in retaliation.

My former feral status has made it very very dangerous for my beans to bathe me so they use special kitty bath wipes. I hate those too, but it is better than a bath!

Want to come over here? No one will do that to you here.

  20. Tuck, if you don't want to be forcibly bathed, you'll need to amend your litter box habits! Maybe you need to work on your technique. I hope you're not touching the poop with your paw!

  21. Poor Tuck, those baths are no fun at all. Then for them to take pictures of you in that state too. Well we are sure that you smell better. Baby powder isn't so bad for a Mancat in training though.

  22. We are very sorry to hear about this turn of events, Tuck. A turd in a shoe is indeed in order. Maybe even two for the baby powder business.

  24. Wow you do not look as miserable as we do when we have baths. They are not fun but our humans love to cuddle with us when we are all dry and furry soft.

  26. I used to get baths all of the time. Now that I'm older, I don't get one unless I have a problem. Thankfully, that doesn't happen too often.

  27. OMG my bean cannot stop calling you "cute". i fear this is in my future as well! HELP!!

  28. Oh you poor baby!

After my bean Lily bathes me, I get what she calls my "blow-out", courtesy a funny little machine that blows hot air at me. I hate bathtime, but I love my blow-out, so I endure bathtime for it.

Maybe you should get your beans to give you a blow-out. You'd really like it.
