I'm honored to be hosting a Cat-O-Lympic Event here in my Neighborhood! The one that I'm hosting is my personal favorite -- Late Night Human Wakeup. It's a sport that takes skills, bravery and purrsistance. Over the next few days I'm looking for the world's best competitors. Sometimes it's difficult to capture those late night antics on film, so I'll accept stories as well. Share your stories or pictures either on your blog (be sure to send me the link) or in the comments.
The competition is sure to be fierce as the cats of the cat blogosphere are the smartest and most skilled felines in the world. Good luck to all!
This is a photo of some of my late night antics. Last night, I crawled under the covers and waited. When my human went to bed she thought I was just sleeping under there. I waited until the very moment she began to drift off and then I attacked her feet!
PAWesome CATegory! Oh, do we have stories...
ReplyDeleteWe'll partake in this one tomorrow! You story is fab! We won't have any pics through as our antics are at about 3-4 AM!
This is a good one!! And Tuck...you must be the previous Gold Medal winner. Hiding under the covers and attacking feet -- what great technique!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! The foot attack is a great manoeuvre.
ReplyDeleteGreat form, Tuck!
ReplyDeleteThis one is a good category for us! We are pretty skilled at waking up mom and dad in the middle of the night with such techniques as: repeated and persistent meowing; tapping their noses with our paws; and walking on their heads. :)
Sammy and Moosey (the cats of the folks at Animal Shelter Volunteer LIfe)
This sounds like a pawsome event, Tuck! We love your under the covers sneak attack!
ReplyDeleteLucy is a gold medal winner in waking up humans for a little snack around 4.30am!

Fabulous competition...I know it well! Love your pic! I'm going to have to see what we can find here as we've all done this one many times!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, there will be some tough competition. Romeo and the Meezers are skilled at this. So are we but we have no photos. Will have to decided which story to tell.
ReplyDeleteInteresting competition! I'm sure you are better than me in these matters.
ReplyDeleteCool sporting event!...Good surprise attack, Tuck=we know you got Mom's attention with that one!!...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteI think you're a shoe-in...as the case may be!
ReplyDeleteExcellent late night technique you got there, Tuck! Say, did you see we are going to BlogPaws, too?!
ReplyDeleteCool event!
ReplyDeleteYou must have given your human quite a scare, Tuck.
Great event, Mr. Tuck.
ReplyDeleteWe'll post our "story" tomorrow/Friday morning at 4 a.m.
Unfortunately, there won't be visuals because none of us can get to the camera when the antics are going on. It would break the ambiance!
Great way to get them at night! I'm usually asleep before my mom at night.
ReplyDeleteGood job on "attacking" the human's feet, Mr. Tuck! BOL
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Adele, Vincent & Bella

just found your blog from cat blogosphere! love the pictures at the header of your blog and also the one of you sneaking around at night! cute!
ReplyDeleteI totally need to enter this event!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE this contest. We often wake mom and dad at night (but of course there are no photos). We can't wait to read about wot efurrybuddy does.
ReplyDeleteOh this is a great event for us. Gertrude ia so good at waking mom up. We will take the camera to bed with us and see if we can catch Gertrude redpawed. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteThis one - I am an expert. I like to go out at 4.00am for a quick patrol and then as soon as I hear the first alarm go off in the bedroom, I start meowing at the window - my aim is to make them get out of bed before the next alarm - they sometimes hit that snooze button three times! So I make sure I am nice and L O U D!
ReplyDeleteUsually I woke up my parents by scratching the sofa! The will be awake, for sure!
ReplyDeleteTuck, you're a mastermind!
ReplyDeleteHere's our Cameron's entry, Tuck.

Oh, good! I've been waiting to enter this event! i like to wait until my human is sleeping and then I let her pet me when I go wake her up during the night, but during the day I have better things to do. Here's my entry: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2010/02/we-entered-cat-o-lympics.html
ReplyDeleteOkay I am in for tomorrow's Post. Although there will be no photos.
ReplyDeleteHarley is definately a runner in this event. He plays in the bathtub with toys he has hawled in there and sometimes there are no toys. He also will go into the kitchen and meow real loud like a big baby. Oh, then maybe in the master shower he will sit in and meow. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI've never woken up my people before, because they're always awake when they're at work! Hmph. Oh well, happy hosting! (BTW, AB Christine is smitten with your electric blankie pictures!)
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna enter tomorrow, Tuck. Oh, I hope that it's not too late! ~Crikey
ReplyDeleteHaHaHaHaHa!
ReplyDeleteI entered! ~Crikey
